Berry Street Take Two as an NMT Flagship site
The NMT approach provides a framework for understanding the developmental impacts of trauma, abuse and neglect, and then guiding interventions that target the developmental needs of the child, within a relational context. NMT promotes a holistic and ecological approach to interventions with the child – targeting not only the individual child, but their caregiver relationships, broader family networks as well as school and community. The approach aims to build the child’s resilience via safe, enduring relationships and daily experiences of success. Take Two is also engaged in a number of NMT research activities such as examining the correlation of the NMT Metric with other measures.
The ChildTrauma Academy acknowledges that Take Two has completed NMT Training Certification through the Phase II (Trainer) level. For more information on NMT Training Certification and the NMT Assessment Process please refer to the ChildTrauma website.
Annette Jackson, (Director, Berry Street Gippsland), is a Fellow of the ChildTrauma Academy.
