Yarning Up on Trauma
The Yarning Up on Trauma program has been designed to assist people working in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities with vulnerable children and families to understand the impact of historical and present day trauma. Workers are encouraged to recognise and deal with their own traumas, as well as those of the children and families with whom they work.
Whilst this book was originally written for people who were participating in Yarning Up On Trauma training in Aboriginal Communities within Victoria, it has subsequently been used in Communities in other Australian states and territories. We anticipate that those wanting to learn more about trauma and attachment disruption from a cultural perspective will find this book useful.
